Description

1924, the Basque coast was booming with tourism and rivaling the elegance of Art déco architecture. Jean Puiforcat lived in St. Jean de Luz and interpreted the geometric rigor and sober ornamentation of such vacation resorts. The Bayonne sterling silver cutlery, with its pure, modern straight lines, is ribbed with three fine sculptural grooves echoing the three prongs on the fork. A timeless model with neo-Basque accents.
